To update family members, campus involvement and contact information.
In the following situations, please submit a Person Data Error Request: Marriage, Divorce or Death of a Family Member.
1. |
Family Name - The standard format is 'LastName Family'. |
2. |
Campus - campus affiliation is set at a Family level, not the person. NOTE: If a person is in two different families, each tied to a different campus, they will be counted and reported in both campuses. |
3. |
Record Status - To change the status for each family member at once, instead of on each person individually. When changing a family to 'inactive' a 'Reason' box will pop up and you need to select a reason from the drop down choices why this change was made. If the reason selected is 'Moved Away', click on the 'Family Moved' button on the right side of the 'Addresses' section. Enter the new 'Home' address if you have it. Otherwise, click on the red 'X' to delete the new 'Home' address section. You MUST scroll down to the bottom of the page and click 'Save'. Note: DO NOT change the Connection Status of person(s) when inactivating them. The Connection Status is kept for a history of their last level of involvement. |
4. |
Family Members - to add a new person to the family, click the 'Add Person' button in the header. You can select 'Add New Person' or 'Add Existing Person'. When adding an existing person, you are given the option to remove the person from other families. If it is a blended family situation with joint custody, keep them in both families. If transitioning families, remove them from the first one. Clicking the button underneath the person's picture will remove them from a family. |
5. |
Addresses - To update an address click the 'Family Moved' button. It will automatically move the home address to a previous address and start a new home address for you. Having both addresses reduces the chance that someone will change the new address back to the old. |
