3CX Conference Calling (iPhone or Android)
Screenshots are from an Android, but should apply to iPhone as well
Our 3cx phone system is able to host enterprise level conference calls.
You can schedule and host a conference call from the app on your iPhone
To schedule a conference call in your iPhone app, choose the “Menu” button in the upper left
Next, choose “Schedule"
Name your meeting at the top (it must have a name), set the time you want, then tap "Add 3CX Contacts"
Choose your internal participants. For external phone numbers, you will enter the phone number as it would be dialed, then click "add (number)" to add the participant.
If you have internal participants you would like to invite, make sure the "add to calendar" toggle is on. This will use Outlook (must be set up on your device) to send instructions on how your guest can join.
Once completed, click the right arrow at the bottom right
Choose Outlook to send the calendar invite. It will then prefill with the meeting Name, Time and a preset message on how they can join the call. You can modify the message as needed. You will also need to add the person's contact info (e-mail address) in the attendees field.
When the scheduled time for the conference arrives your phone will ring along with any internal participants you have added. External participants can then call in and join the conference.
You can add up to 10 external participants (more will still connect but will use up our external phone lines so please limit to 10) and as many internal participants as you like.
Feel free to setup a test conference so you can get familiar with it before you need to use it.
